Robert Perišić is a Croatian writer, poet, essayist and playwright. His books have been widely translated, and awarded both in Croatia and internationally. His novels Our Man in Iraq (Istros Books 2013, tr. Will Firth) and No-Signal Area (Seven Stories Press 2020, tr. Ellen Elias-Bursać) were awarded and listed for awards in several countries, and were critically acclaimed in The New Yorker, The Guardian, The Times Literary Supplement, The New York Times, and many other places. His short prose and poetry have likewise garnered praise and awards. His latest book, the novel A Cat at the End of the World (Sandorf Passage 2022, tr. Vesna Marić), was listed among the best books of 2022 by The Wall Street Journal, whilst the Croatian edition has won several prizes in the country.
Mirza Purić is a literary translator. His recent work includes Marko Pogačar’s Neon South (Sandorf Passage, 2022) and Faruk Šehić’s Under Pressure (Istros Books, 2019). His has published in Agni, Asymptote, Literary Hub, EuropeNow, The Well Review, The Baffler and elsewhere.
